Come now, and let’s settle this, says the LORD.
Though your sins are like scarlet, they will be white as snow…”

This Week's Prompt

Design a page inspired by snow or snowflakes.  What are some descriptive words about snow?  Fresh, clean, pure, white...ask the Lord to show you how this translates to your standing with Him.

For today's prompt I first painted my background pages with white acrylic paint and then sprinkled some fake snow all over the pages so that it would dry in the paint.

I hand-lettered Hebrews 10:17 in the center of doily and glued it to the page.  I wanted to keep the page simple and focus on the idea that God has sent Jesus as the "once-and-for-all" sacrifice for my sins.

State vs Standing

Remember that while your emotional state may go up and down, angry or sad, frustrated or jealous, highs and lows, those feelings are simply that, feelings.

They are your state but they are not your standing

As a believer in Christ, your standing before God is forgiven (Eph 1:7), redeemed (1 Cor 1:30), righteous by faith in Christ (2 Cor 5:21, Eph 3:22).

No Condemnation

When you make a mistake, or feel condemned for thoughts or actions, remember that those actions, thoughts and feelings are covered by the blood of Jesus.

Once you have believed on the Lord Jesus, you have been washed white as snow (Is. 1:18) and God has promised never to remember them again (Heb 10:17).

I can't think of a better reason to celebrate this Christmas.

Merry, Merry Christmas.

Have a wonderful, blessed holiday my friend!

Peace and Grace,

♥ Melissa~
