Mini-Make Monday

Last week I made a tri-fold pocket from my printable Traveler's Notebook insert pages and a matching tag from one of my journal cards. See how it's done here:

Supplies Needed for DIY Traveler's Notebook Tri-Fold Pocket and Tag

Printable Traveler's Notebook insert pages

Printable Journal Cards

Circle Punch

Hole Punch

ScissorsSewing Machine or
Washi Tape

Ribbon & Tulle

These steps are all illustrated in the video above.

Step One

Print two sets of pages back to back and trim

Step Two

Using a 2" circle punch, punch a half circle in the left side of the page that you want to be the top of the pocket and then line the pages up with the right side of one page on the bottom, and the left side (the one you just punched) on the top.

Step Three

Now sew or washi tape the pages together along the right, left and bottom edges of the center pages that you just stacked. This will create a pocket in the middle.

Step Four

Now fold first the left side over and then the right side over and to create your tri-fold page. Unfold the pages and slip them into your traveler's notebook elastic where you want your pocket to be.

Step Five

Create the tag by sewing, gluing or taping to journal cards together, the bottom edge of one card to the top edge of the other.

Step Six

Fold the corners of the top part of the tag back to back (don't crease, just lightly fold) and snip the edges diagonally with scissors. This will create a tag top. Now use a hole punch to punch a hold in the top of your tag and add ribbon and decorate as desired.

The Heart of Thanksgiving - Remembering His Benefits

You’re invited to join Nichole @goosekeeperdesigns and Melissa @pinkpaperpeppermints in a 4 week art journaling celebration of Thanksgiving! Beginning Friday October 20, 2017

What it’s about:

Beginning Friday, October 20th we're going to enter His gates with Thanksgiving in our hearts and enter His courts with praise!

Each week will be a simple meditation on Who God is to us and what He's done for us based on Psalm 103:1-5.

We’ll spend time thanking and praising Him by choosing to journal, write scripture, create art, hand-letter a scripture, paint, collage, whatever that creative thing is that makes our heart sing!

Finally, we’ll share our art with each other on Instagram by using the hashtag #myheartofthanksgiving

The Goodies!

Nichole has designed a limited edition Dash Dori and Melissa has designed a coordinating Traveler’s Notebook insert for journaling during the THOT celebration! Plus die cuts, journal cards, stickers and more! We’ll be thrilled if you use them during our celebration, but they aren’t required for participating.

Prizes!

My newest printables are page wraps that are a part of the Heart of Thanksgiving collection. I designed page wraps to wrap around the pages of my printable Traveler's Notebook inserts! They can also be used as tip-ins or even to create mini-books!

This set includes 4 foldable journaling wraps plus 3 patterned background papers created using hand-dyed papers and vintage Fall ephemera.

The pumpkin wrap comes in two variations, with scripture and without.
