Who are Erin and Melissa?
Erin Leigh
Erin Leigh is a mixed media collage artist and the author of the Art by Erin Leigh blog. She creates inspirational and scripture art in her home studio, which she also sells in her etsy shop.
On her blog you'll find pieces of her life as an artist, a child of God, a wife, a mommy, and educator as well as lots of fun, free printable prints, cards, and bookmarks.
She dreams of living on a farm someday, except in the dream someone else is doing all that farm work and she just gets the fresh eggs every morning. Erin loves connecting with her readers so be sure to stop by her blog and say hello!
Melissa
Melissa is currently a full-time, homeschooling mom and the author of Pink Paper Peppermints blog, Youtuber, and artist, creating bible journaling, scrapbooking and paper crafting kits.
She's been involved in the paper crafting industry for more than fifteen years, working as an instructor, writer and product designer. She's taught paper crafting and art classes at local stores and national conventions both in the USA and Canada and her work has been published in multiple print and online publications including her own book on mixed-media scrapbooking.
She dreams in color wheels and papery things, but her real passion in life is to see every person realize the width, depth and breadth of God's extraordinary love for them. ♥
What is the Journaling by Heart workshop?
Journaling by Heart is a free, online, summer workshop series on art journaling your faith!
Both Erin and Melissa love using scripture in their art journals, as part of their quiet time and when they started talking about the idea of sharing that journey with you, the Journaling by Heart series was born!
Whether you are newly into bible journaling or you're an experienced art journaler you're sure to have fun with them as they explore God's Word and share creative tips and ideas for using art as an expression of worship.
There are going to be lots of free printables, scripture prompts and tutorials!
How Does an Online Workshop Work?
On the first and last day of the workshop both Erin and Melissa will post a lesson. After that every Friday they will take turns posting that week's lesson on their blogs. If you are signed up for each of their newsletters (see how below) you will receive all the lessons, assignments and downloads in your email inbox each week!

How Do I participate?
You can participate by following along with the lessons and completing the assignments, commenting on Erin and Melissa's blogs when you complete their lessons and sharing your work on instagram with the hashtag #journalingbyheart Tag Melissa (@pinkpaperpeppermints) and Erin (@artbyerinleigh) too so they can see your work!
How do I download the printables?
The printables will usually be in large pdfs that have been compressed into a zip file.
When you click on the download image you should have the choice to open or save the file.
If you are on a windows machine you can choose "open with windows explorer" and it will download and then open the file.
You should then be able to save that folder wherever you would like on your machine.
If you have trouble just let Melissa or Erin know and they'll be happy to troubleshoot with you.
